The past week, or so, has been really fun!!!! A few weeks ago, Mommy called up some of my friends and asked if they'd come play with me with some kids. Kids are my favorites!!! We had Shamrock, Sampson, Indy, Trek, Deja, and ME!!!! The Hospice Organization that Mommy and I volunteer with do a one day camp called Camp-Mend-A-Heart. It's a camp for kids between the ages of 5-14 (or so) who have lost a loved one. Some of these kids are very sad when they come to camp. During our visit with the kids, we showed off our mad agility skills, then we taught the kids about dog safety. The kids got to practice their skills by asking to pet each one of us, and then petting us and loving on us! Then we showed off our mad Trick skills!!! Shamrock was awesome and did a bunch of fun tricks. Trek was also pretty awesome with his trick skills! I did a few tricks, but I'm working, so I'm supposed to be super good, so I didn't do quite as well with my tricks. Oops! The kids asked all kind of questions, giggled, laughed, and smiled. I think we brightened their day. It was so much fun!

The next day, we went to an agility seminar. This nice lady named Susan was there, and she made Mommy get more excited to run me. Mrs. Susan was way more fun to play with than Mommy was, but as Mommy got the idea it started to be fun running with Mommy too! Mommy does do a really good job at showing me where I'm supposed to go on course though! It was so much fun!!! After we got finished Mrs. Katy let me and the Oaf play in her pond for a little bit. It was nice to get wet because it was pretty hot.

On Monday, I got to show off my mad Therapy Dog skills by getting to go visit at Hospice while Daddy was having a procedure done. It wasn't anything terrible, but Mommy had to chauffer him everywhere for the day afterwards. Therapy Dog visits are my favorite!!! We also went to Modern Woodmen's South Charleston office, so they could learn more about what me and Mommy do. All the nice people there seemed to really enjoy getting to pet me. I made sure to get to everybody, but there were some people that needed me more than others. They were really nice people!

The best part of the past week was this past weekend! We got to play agility for real!!!! On our way up, we met up with Mommy and Daddy's friends Mrs. Chris, Mr. Nate, and their human puppy Ava. Ava was really sweet. She was fun to cuddle next to and let her pet me. She was very gentle. Then we got back in the car and travelled some longer and got to a hotel. The next morning the Oaf was, well an Oaf, so Mommy found a cool hiking trail for us to go to. There was a big lake, but there were signs all over that basically said we couldn't swim. The Oaf was NOT happy about that! On our hike Trek found a swimming hole, that we could get into. It was hot, so I followed him in. We went back to the hotel for a little bit, then it was off to the trial!!! We got to see Chanty and Mrs. Sigrid and also Cali and Aunt Debbie!!! We waited for what seemed like forever, but then Mommy got me out and started playing with me. Me and Mommy played the recall game with Daddy, and then me and Mommy played with the single jump. Pretty soon it was my time to SHINE!!!! It was a fun course, and afterwards I got a really yummy jackpot! Then Mommy sat down with me, pulled me into her lap and started crying happy tears. She told me that Aidan would be really proud of me. I always wanted to be like Aidan, and now I am (kind of)!!! After we got my ribbons, and Mommy cried some more. I went back into my crate to rest. The next time I came out was for my Jumpers run. I was even more awesome than I was in Standard. I got first place again, and Mommy was still SUPER happy again!

After we got finished, we loaded up into the car and went to Aunt Debbie and Uncle Scott's house! They were nice enough to let us have dinner with them, and let me and the Oaf play in the back yard. Aunt Debbie has a pond in her back yard! The Oaf was so excited about that. It was hot, so I swam some, but then Daddy got a bumper out of the car. The Oaf was playing tug with Daddy and retrieving, which looked like a lot of fun, so I decided to steal the bumper and play with Mommy some! It was actually a lot of fun! After a little while Aunt Debbie let my sister Tootsie come out to play with us! According to everybody, Tootsie looks like me, but acts like the Oaf. She didn't act too Oaf-like, except for when she got on the table to try to steal butter. Cali came outside too, but she didn't want to play with us very much. It was such a fun evening!!!

The next day we went back to the agility trial! Mommy said I had to do a harder Standard course today since I got my title the day before. This Standard course had 12 weave poles, but was otherwise pretty much the same! I got a little nervous and didn't do my weave poles like I usually do. Mommy was still happy with me and I still got yummy treats afterwards, but I didn't get to get any ribbons. Mommy kept saying that the next course was going to be easy and it was, so I took off like a bullet and tried to race Mommy to the finish line. She may have won, but I wasn't too far behind! Mommy got all excited and almost cried happy tears again!!! I got another extra pretty ribbon!!!! Since it was so hot Mommy and Daddy carried me and the Oaf to the car and we started heading home. About half way home, the Oaf and I got to have a picnic for our dinner, and then it was non-stop until we got home.

So much fun all in a little over a week! I'm exhausted, so I'm going to go take a nap!

Tchau!!!
