So this morning Mom gathered up the water gear and we loaded it up in the car. I just KNEW we were going to do something FUN. I LOVE FUN! It took a while to get there, Mom kept stopping at boring places and leaving me in the car. At least she knows to leave the air conditioning blowing cold air on me, I'm a HOT girl so I need cool air blowing through my wavy locks.
Eventually though, she drove me to Chick-Fil-A and I heard her order a LOT of nuggets. I just KNEW they were for me! I LOVE LOVE LOVE chicken nuggets and the ones from Chick-Fil-A are THE BEST! I'll try to do anything Mom (or Uncle Don or Aunt Liz or Aunt Mama or ANYone, really) asks if I have the chance to earn chicken nuggets. They are my absolute favorite!
Then we went to Aunt Mama's house and my day improved by leaps and bounds (I love leaping and bounding). Nuggets AND the pond, what could be better? Mom took a little long getting her stuff together. I don't know why she has to wear all of that, I'm ready for the water as soon as we get out of the car, but I try to wait for her. I'm VERY helpful and I hand her any of the equipment we might need, she has a LOT of trouble holding on to things, so I try to leap up and catch them before she drops anything. I'm SUCH a good helper!
ANYWAY, eventually she and Aunt Mama were ready and I put my practice uniform on (I like to save my pretty Teal and Purple uniform for trials, so I wear my Uncle Indy's old one to practice) and got them ready to WORK! My nickname should be Mary Poppins because, as usual, I was practically perfect in every way. I LOVE the water and I can swim really fast. Plus I can leap really far out into the water! Everything is really fun except sometimes they take my float line out in the boat and make me wait a REALLY long time while they row out between the markers (the markers are white floating things that tell our moms and dads where to give us chicken - or where to give my Mama DoodleBug meat in a metal bowl) and EVENTUALLY drop my float line off of the back of the boat. It's a REALLY strange thing for them to do and really boring to wait that long so sometimes I'm busy looking for other things to bring to mom instead. But when Mom remembers to keep her arm out to show me where I'm supposed to go, I do better. And when I bring it back out of the water to Mom, she throws it back into the water for me. I LOVE that part!
After I had done everything right a few times, Mama DoodleBug and Uncle Jack came up to the pond and we all ran around and played and swam and generally had a good time. After all of that, it was time for a nice shower. I LOVE having my hair washed, my front feet are naturally white, but working out in the pond tends to turn them brown. I need a spa treatment afterward to look my best. I may be a natural beauty, but I need to be clean! The humans keep telling me how nice I smell and, next to chicken nuggets, being praised by humans is one of my favorite things.
I'm spending the weekend here at Aunt Mama's so I should get to go to the pond again tomorrow (after they do something called puppy testing with some baby Golden Retrievers. Those poor puppies have weird hair and nobody EVER shaves their butts. I'm so glad I'm a PWD but I try not to judge the less fortunate) and maybe Sunday too. In the meantime, I'm cuddling with Aunt Mama (I LOVE cuddling and I'm VERY good at it). If I'm not too busy having fun or helping, I'll let you know what I'm doing.
Caly Out!
