Bio:

Trek’s registered name is CH Allyn Warp Speed 7…Engage RI NA NAJ BCAT CGC TKA WWD. He is a black, curly coat and was the green collared puppy. Trek is often referred to as T-Rex, Train Wreck, Trekkie, or Armada’s favorite, “the Oaf.” As a puppy, Trek split his time between our friend Sabrina’s house in Indiana and Marta’s house in Hurricane, WV. Between Marta and Sabrina, Trek was shown in conformation frequently and was working on obedience with Sabrina. Trek now lives in Winfield, WV with his people Colleen and Jeremy, and his big-little brother Armada.

Before Trek was weaned, it was clear that Trek was on an accelerated learning tract. He was the first puppy to do most things, and he is absolutely stunning structurally! Trek started his conformation career at just under 7 months old in Indianapolis, IN where he took a 4 point major with Sabrina handling him. Sabrina handled Trek for most of his points towards his Championship. At 20 months old, in March 2016, Trek finished his Championship with a 5 point major at Raleigh Kennel Club show in Raleigh, NC being handled and groomed by Don & Liz Powell.

With Trek's Championship finished, we have now been focusing on more fun things, such as: Agility, Obedience, Rally, and Water Work! Trek is a natural at everything he does. He enjoys learning by using "free shaping" methods and quickly picks up new games or behaviors. Since Trek had previously split his time between Sabrina and Marta, the Summer of 2016 was Trek's first real Water Season. By the end of the Summer, Jeremy and Trek were entered in Apprentice at the PWD Jamboree water trials in Seneca, SC where it was Jeremy's first time in a performance ring. While Trek's puppy brain came out on Friday, Jeremy did a great job working Trek through it, and they had moments of brilliance! On Saturday, Trek was much more focused on all of the exercises. Unfortunately, Trek had trouble bringing his bumper all the way to shore, so Jeremy helped Trek out a bit. We're excited to announce that Trek earned his Apprentice Water Dog title at the Southern Splash Water Trials hosted by Movers & Shakers PWD Club under judge Greg Illchuck on July 20th, 2019.

The Summer of 2017 has proved to be quite the summer for Trek. He finished three new titles. Two of which were in AKC's new Trick Dog program. Trek, who is always the class clown picks up on new tricks VERY easily. One of his favorite tricks to perform is "hooray!" which means he'll jump into your arms. In August, Colleen entered Trek in a Rally trial at Queen City Dog Training Club in Sharonsville, OH. It was a little rocky, but Trek earned his second qualifying score towards his Rally Novice title. Trek completed his Rally Novice title at the PWD National Specialty in Warwick, RI. In May 2018, Trek earned a new AKC title, Rally Intermediate (RI) at Parkersburg Obedience Training Club trials in Marietta, OH.

Trek made his Agility Debut at Cleveland All-Breed Training Club in Brooklyn Heights, OH on April 29th, 2018. He was entered on Saturday too, but he had a thorn in his paw, and was unable to compete. In his debut, Colleen handled him and he got 2nd Place (Armada beat him) in Novice Standard. Unfortunately, Trek didn't qualify in Novice Jumpers with Weaves (JWW), but he was still happy and engaged the entire time! Trek earned his Novice Agility (NA) title at Miami Valley Labrador Retriever Club's agility trials in Sharonville, OH on November 3rd, 2018.
