So like yesterday was a little weird! Mom loaded me up in the car like super early, so I figured we were going on a PWD family trip somewhere, but then Dad got into the car. I like never go anywhere with Mom AND Dad, so this was very strange. We drove for a little while, but we didn't stop at Subway to pick up Armada and Trek, and Dad missed the fast road. We started driving down a road in the forest. I know I've been this way before, but it hasn't been often....After a few minutes of driving the wrong way, we got to Armada and Trek's house! I got out of the car and was SSSOOOOO happy to see my brothers. Then Mom and Dad just ABANDONED me there! I didn't care too much though, we all played in the backyard for a few minutes and then Uncle Jeremy let us inside. Armada told me that it was time to wake up Aunt Colleen and that I should follow him closely, and this would be fun. Uncle Jeremy opened the gate and Armada bolted up the stairs, so I followed him. Then he opened a door and went flying onto a big bed! It was really fun, but Aunt Colleen wasn't in that bed, so I hopped off and found her in the bathroom. Armada looked a little disappointed and then came in the bathroom too to give Aunt Colleen bunches of morning kisses. Trek didn't come up as quickly as me and Armada. Once we got finished upstairs Uncle Jeremy gave me second breakfast, which I like never get at home!

Aunt Colleen went away for like ever, just like Mom does sometimes, and apparently Uncle Jeremy is a stay-at-home Dog Dad, just like my Dad is!!! How cool is that?!? I got to play with my brothers all day long....well I only played with Trek all day long. Now I know why Trek calls Armada, Stuffy Pants. Stuffy Pants wouldn't let me and Trek play, which is like totally not cool at all. Eventually Uncle Jeremy put Stuffy Pants in his crate and that's when Trek and I really got to party!!!! We had SSSOOOOO much fun! During our mid-morning outside time a really weird looking PWD puppy came over from the neighbor's house. She was cute, but the weirdest puppy I've ever seen. She was way longer than most puppies, had straight hair that was salt and pepper colored. Uncle Jeremy came out and picked up the little puppy and took her home. Later in the day the puppy came back over with her Mommy and small humans. Trek was SSSSOOOOOOO excited to play with the puppy. While the Oaf was playing with the puppy, me and Stuffy Pants laid around on the porch and watched them. It was so totally nice to have a little bit of a break from the Oaf.

After a little while the Kid came home from his work. I got to cuddle with him some, and then I got to help him with his homework, but his homework is way more boring than my homework. He had to buy a car with a certain amount of money. I'm super awesome at shopping, so I knew I would like totally rock this assignment. I got him to spend his $32,000 on a super pretty red corvette with blue flames!!! It is perfect for me! Once we got finished with homework I came back downstairs and the Oaf was gone, so now it was time for me and Stuffy Pants to play! Then Mom and Dad came and took me home, what a bummer!!!!

I had such a fun day being abandoned at Armada and Trek's house! Maybe Mom will do it again sometime, but playing with my brothers ALL DAY LONG is exhausting, so...

CALY OUT!!!!!

Well, what an odd day. It started when my dog family began showing up at my house. That almost NEVER happened at the old house. Mom says that's an advantage of being a Valley Girl now. First my Aunt Colleen showed up with my brother Armada. Then Aunt Cindi showed up. And finally Aunt Mama and Uncle Daddy came with MommyDoodleBug. Like, what is going on?!

After awhile, all of us except Uncle Daddy and my Daddy got into the dog van and drove off. OK, I've done this before. Usually means fun!! We stopped for food and we dogs all got chicken nuggets. They weren't Chik-Fil-A, but hey, nuggets are nuggets. Didn't stop me. I LOVE chicken nuggets.

We went to a place I've never been before. Mom put a bandana around my neck and reminded me to be a good girl. Like I'm not ALWAYS a good girl! Anyway, we went in this new place and met a lot of people I've never seen before. At first I wasn't too sure about the whole thing, but Armada was greeting the people and getting petted, so I decided it was an ok thing. I only put my feet on the table one time and I let all of them pet me. I'd say that was being a pretty good girl.

After awhile, me and Armada and MommyDoodleBug got to go to the van. That was a relief. Greeting people is hard work. I slept the whole way home!

Caly Out (like a light)!

So, now I'm a Valley Girl in addition to being a Village Girl! How cool is that?Totally cool, I say.

Life has been, like, really confusing recently. My momma has been putting stuff in boxes for what seems like WEEKS. Then we started driving to this new place. And then we started taking boxes from our home to this new place. What is going on?! THEN we started sleeping in this new place. In a new, really big, bed. When they brought my toy box I figured it out: we are living in this new place now! Momma says we are Valley Girls now, because we live in the Valley. After about a week, the Cat showed up too. He's not real happy. He peed in my crate on the trip over, and he just roams around howling. Jeez. What a loser.

It is a pretty cool place though. There are dogs in most of the yards around us. Two next door, three behind us, and two in the yard catty-corner to us. They aren't PWDs, but I'm not a total snob, so I like them well enough. At least they are all friendly.

Caly out!!!!

We went to the first ever PWD Jamboree in Seneca, SC, this past weekend and it was AWESOME!!

It was kinda sorta a longish drive but there were only 3 of us pups in the Water Dog Van (Sammie, Phoebe, and me) so there was lots of room.   Not a bad trip.  The first night Mom and I had our VERY OWN room.  That was way different from normal, but kind of cool too.

Our first day (Thursday) was setting up and swimming.  The lake was BEE –U– TI-FUL and still warm.  I got an official practice time where we did all our exercises.  It wasn’t very long but I had gotten an earlier swim time nearby with most of the gang so it was good.  In the evening my daddy came too, so Mom and I had to share our room with him.  But I didn’t mind.  He’s an OK guy even if he does call me Shithead.

On Friday we swam a little in the morning, just for fun.  ‘Cause you know I LUV to swim!!  Then it started raining and it rained ALL day.  We got soaked.  But in spite of that I passed my Therapy Dog International test.  No problem for me because unless there is a water body around I am cool, calm, and restrained ;)  Mom is excited about getting me an ID badge.  I hope she uses a good picture.  When she gets all that done we can go new places and visit new people.  I’m not as outgoing as my brother Armada, but I think I’ll still like it.

The weather was much nicer SaturdayThe people kept complaining how cool it was.  Silly people.  It was great.  I had to wait in my crate ALL MORNING to get a turn in the lake so when it was FINALLY my turn I was ready for it.  Me and mom went out and did a few float line throws then started in on my exercises.  I don’t know why they are called exercises.  That makes them sound unpleasant but really they are GREAT FUN!  Mom said I was perfect at all of them except getting my float line.  She said it took a little bit for me to decide to go get it.  WHATEVER.  She just needs to chill.  I was gonna get it, just not in a big rush.  The judge told her she needs to relax and I AGREE!  The judge told her she had a firecracker, whatever that means.  Anyway, when we were done Mom was VERY happy and everybody cheered for us and they called me an Apprentice Water Dog,  I got a whole hot dog as my jack-pot.  Then we had a family swim where all I had to do was swim and chase after my bumper.  Later on the way home Mom got me a whole order of CHIK-FIL-A CHICKEN NUGGETS!  I was a happy, happy girl.

Sunday was also a nice day, with silly people whining about the cold.  I got to get in the lake again.  We did a different set of “exercises” but I didn’t have much trouble with them.  Mom said I jumped for my bumper from the other boat too soon.  Oh well.  I was impatient to GET IT.  I refused to jump in after my float line AT ALL.  I just didn’t feel like.  They’ve been making such a big deal of that dang line lately and I’m just sick of it.  We didn’t pass, but it wasn’t just me.  Mom messed up too.  She threw stuff overboard before judge told her too.  But hey, it was decent for our first try.  There’s always next year AND I CANNOT WAIT!!

Caly Out!

Just had like an AWESOME weekend! On Saturday morning Mom started gathering water stuff and I know what that means :) It took her longer than normal and we had WAY more stuff. I wondered like what that meant… Eventually, we got in the car and went down the road. We stopped someplace strange and my cousin Pheobe got in my car, without Aunt Cindi. Well, that happens sometimes. And I love my Cousin Phoebe – she is a wild thang just like me. We have like soo much fun together!!!

We went on to Aunt Mama’s and played in the pond. And I mean we PLAYED! And we CHASED. Then we PLAYED more. They didn’t make me work, we just mostly played, me and Wild Phoebe. We had soo much FUN.  After pond play time, we got showers and Aunt Cindi came. She gave us pedicures, AGAIN. Like, why does she insist on doing that so much? Crazy woman. Then we got in Aunt Mama’s Big Van. I KNOW what that means – ROAD TRIP!! It’s a good thing me and Phoebe played so hard because we got to have nice naps while traveling.  AND HERE’S THE BEST PART – we got Chik-Fil-A for lunch. I LOVE Chik-Fil-A nuggets!

Seems like we spent many hours in the van but eventually got out at a HOTEL!! I LOVE HOTELS! Phoebe and I got to play some in the hotel but our moms kept telling us “quiet” and “it’s too late for that kind of noise." Like what a DRAG. Like, it’s not our fault no one else took naps. So we got dinner. I LOVE road trip dinners – they usually have tuna with them. YUM I LOVE tuna! When we went nightly nighty nighty I tried to get in bed with Mom, but Aunt Cindi was there. What’s with THAT? So I cuddled with Aunt Mama instead :)

In the morning we had breakfast (YES more tuna!) and got in Big Van again. After a little drive, we got out at a LAKE! I remember this place – it’s HUGE!! And there were other people and other PWDs. We didn’t play with the other PWDs, but it was fun to watch them. They had water turns, we had water turns, then everyone had turns again.  IT WAS GREAT!!  At the end me and Phoebe and my sister Tootsie got to play in the water a bit before we left. Once the stuff loading started I was a little nervous.  When I got the chance I told Phoebe to follow me and we hopped into Big Van. I KNOW they’d never forget me because I'm the Chosen One, but still, you never know.

You’d think I’d have been tired on the ride home, but for the first half hour me and Phoebe played. Funny, she didn’t seem quite as into it as me. Mom kept telling me to quit it and lay down, so finally I did. I hardly remember the rest of the trip. And I was soo tired the next day. I didn’t do ANYTHING but nap. And I think my Daddy missed me because he said maybe I could go to the beach with them next month. I LOVE the beach!! But that’s a story for another day.

Caly Out!
