YESTERDAY WAS THE BEST DAY EVER!!!
I got to sleep in a little bit. It was nice. But when Daddy came down to let me out of my crate I was soooooo happy. We went outside and played. I got to play tug with Armada and fetch with Daddy. It was sooooo much fun!
We went to Aunt Cristi's house very early. We were up near the pond, but Armada and I were trapped! We could see the pond but no one would let us go play! We heard a bunch of weird noises and finally I heard Uncle Bruce say that we were done. I don't know what that meant but they let us out. I ran straight to the pond and jumped in. Aunt LeAnne brought someone new. My Aunt Emma came to play. Someone new! YAY!!!!
After we played in the water for a while, we were all put in crates to rest. Then we took turns practicing. I was in my crate FOREVER. I had to go to the bathroom REALLY bad. I kept barking but no one would listen. Finally Daddy heard me and let me out. I immediately had to potty. Then we started to play. Our first game was to get on the back of the boat. It was very similar to my table game in Agikity. On the second time up, I realized that I HAD to potty again. So I peed on the platform of the boat. Daddy shook his head. Aunt Cristi gave him a bucket and said, cleanup after your dog. It made me smile. Its MY Daddy.
Then we went for a long swim together. We went to the first marker and then to the second. We were half way back to the first marker again and Daddy made us turn around. What is he thinking? But I like swimming with Daddy so we went back to the other marker and then to the shore. We played a few more games with my splunky, getting the rope and then getting a bumper. Daddy plays fun games.
After I finished, Aunt Cristi went and got uncle Jack and we all got to play more. The humans keep throwing out a bumper in the water and I HAVE to go get it. I run to the edge and jump as far as I can and then swim to it. Today, I was so proud of myself. I only almost drowned Mommy Doodlebug and Caly once! I am getting better. If they would jump further, I wouldn't land on them when we are all trying to get the bumper first!
I went up on land to run around with the others and then I saw it! Aunt LeAnne was out in the water and Jack was swimming to her. This could only mean ONE thing.....COOKIES! I ran as fast I could to the water and jumped in. I almost jumped all the way to her! I swam out to her and she gave me a cookie. So I kept swimming around her and nudging her for more. Then the greatest thing ever happened. I saw cookies floating all around her. Its a FEAST! She hollered, "Jeremy, come get your dog" Daddy started running out to me. But I just kept swimming and eating cookies. I saw one of the cookies go under water. I dove all the way under for it. When I came back up, I looked and Mommy and she had really big eyes. I think it scared her but I got my cookie. I saw Daddy grab a couple of the floating cookies and he started feeding them too me. Then we played the Still game and Daddy gave me more cookies. Aunt LeAnne left us. I guess she was out of treats.
Once we played some more, we all got baths and then Armada, Mommy Doodlebug and me went home. We went outside to play and the weirdest thing was happening. The neighbors were making thunder and lightning. I have been outside when it comes from the sky. Its much louder and much scarier, but this was coming from their house! I didn't like it very much, so I barked at them to make them stop. I kept barking but THEY DIDN'T STOP! Its scared me even more. Finally Mommy came outside and saved us. Who knows what could have happened!
Once we got inside, Mommy told Daddy that we all got to sleep with them. Did my ears deceive me? I guess not. When Mommy and Daddy went to bed, we all got to go up. It was so great to fall asleep cuddled up between Mommy and Daddy. I could still hear the small thunder outside, but I knew I was safe between Mommy and Daddy. I got up a few times throughout the night from being too hot but I was very quiet when I walked across Daddy to cool off. I think he almost stayed asleep once! I made it through the night and barely survived the small thunder.
