Yesterday was the best day ever!
A couple weeks ago, I hurt my paw. So Daddy hasn't been letting me do much. He still has stuff on the tables so I can't even jump on them to get away from Armada. Its really not cool. But yesterday, we went to Aunt Mamma's house to play! It was a big celebration for Mommy Doodlebugs birthday (she is getting old but I won't tell her that because she will beat me....she is scary when she is mad)!!!
When we got to Aunt Mamma's, I could hear all my family but I was stuck in the fast moving box jail. Armada was stuck with me so we were both barking a lot so that Mommy and Daddy didn't forget us. After a little while, Daddy came over and let Armada out....Then he walked away and didn't let me go play?!?!?! Seriously!!!! That was not cool. It seemed like forever until Daddy finally came back for me. He ran up to the pond with me, and Armada and Caly were there. YAY, I get to play!
I immediately jumped in to the pond. Daddy likes to play this game with me where he throws one of my bumpers in the water and I swim out and get it for him. Its a lot of fun and it makes him happy. I just wish Armada would stop trying to take my bumper when I get close to the shore. Its my job to give it to Daddy! Then I just ran around. I like to carry my bumper. That way I have it whenever Daddy wants to play again. While I was running around the pond, I saw something out of the corner of my eye. It was the weirdest looking dogs I have ever seen. They have big bodies and very small necks and heads. I don't see how they can carry a bumper with heads that small. But I wanted to play with them so I dropped my bumper and jumped in the water to go meet them. They just swam away! I swam faster than them so I figured I would just catch up and we play. Then the weirdest thing ever happened. They can swim...ABOVE THE WATER! That has to be the coolest trick EVER. Once they got to the other side of the pond, they started swimming like normal again. I assumed they were just afraid of me, so I went to the edge of the pond and ran to the other side and tried to swim to them again. They swam above the water again to the other side! After a while, I got tired of trying to play with them. I don't understand why they had to be so rude.
While running around some more with Caly and Armada, I heard the others down at the house. We ran down to meet them and timed it perfectly while the other pups were finishing showers. Daddy put a leash on me and we waited for my turn. I have to wear a leash sometimes because Uncle Indy and I got in to an argument over a bumper last year. We aren't allowed to play together right now. After my shower, I got to run around in the yard some. Then we played some games where I had to find a treat under a bucket and a bunch of others. It was so much fun! Once all of us did our tricks, we got really good birthday ice cream. Armada ate his really fast and then tried to take mine. I am glad Daddy was there to keep him from stealing mine.
We ended the day heading back home and Mommy Doodlebug got to come with us! We were all very tired so we just cuddled and rested the rest of the evening.
